Grady R. Kent Man of Prophecy

In the past eight or nine years, no one has been as closely associated with Bishop Kent as I have.  And I have always felt it a great honor to work with him.  Because of this close association, I have felt that the Spirit would have me write this article.  I know enough about his life that I am not ashamed to be counted one of his company.

There is much history of Brother Kent's life that proves God has been with him which would consume too much space for me to relate all of it; however, it can be obtained by writing this office and asking for this history titled, "Testimony of Grady R. Kent".  The things I do want to present in this article is the specific prophecies which I firmly believe speaks of this man.

First, let me refer to the main point which was used to force his resignation, revoke his license, and to disfellowship him, by the 'Assembly Church.' This was in regard to Brother Kent believing himself to be in the 'spirit and power' of John The Revelator.  According to the Scriptures, there is every possibility of the 'spirit and power' of John The Revelator being present with us today.  To prove this, read the following verses of Scripture in John 21:20-22 where it states, "Then Peter turning about seeth the disciple (John The Revelator) whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper and said, Lord which is he that betrayeth thee?  Peter seeing him (John The Revelator) saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man (John The Revelator) do?  [NOTE:  Jesus had just explained that Peter would have to die and through some insight of the conversation Peter obtained the impression that there was to be something more to the ministry of John The Revelator and so he asked the question]  Jesus saith unto him, if I will that he (John) tarry till I come what is that to thee?  Follow thou me."  Here Jesus explains that John would be here on earth waiting (tarry) for Him at His return (till I come).  To show that this is what He meant, read the next verse, "Then went this saying (concerning John)  abroad among the brethren (told by Peter) that the disciple (John) should not die; yet, Jesus said not unto him he shall not die; but if I will (arrange) that he tarry (still on earth) till I come what is that to thee?"

How else could Peter have obtained the impression that John would not die if he had not received the impression by Jesus' conversation that John would still be here on earth at the return of Christ?  Peter did not make a mistake  in telling that Jesus said that John would still be on earth waiting for his return, but he did make a mistake in thinking that the only way Jesus could arrange it would be to let John keep on living without dying.

This is a mistake made by thousands of people today because as sure as we are living, John The Revelator walks the earth again.  Another Scripture which will witness to this is found in Revelation 10:11 where the angel gave John a future commission.  "And he said unto me (John) Thou must prophecy AGAIN (second time) before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings."  An example of the same principle is found in Matthew, the 11th chapter, verses 7-14, and Matthew, the 17th chapter, verses 10-13.  There is no explanation under the sun that will do away with the fact that Jesus said John the Baptist was Elias (or Elijah).  Was John the Baptist the same flesh and bone that gave his mantle to Elisha?  No, definitely NOT!  But, in spite of this, the Master said he was Elias!  The only explanation recorded that I know of is Luke 1:17.  This reveals that John the Baptist would have the spirit and power of Elias.  And on this authority, Jesus said he WAS Elias!

Now then, as far as I know, Brother Kent is the only man who ever revealed himself to be John the Revelator.  And one of the greatest signs that a man could have to witness this would be to unravel the mysteries of the Book of Revelation...and to my knowledge he can do it!  The vision that God gave him in the 21st chapter of Revelation, of the Bride...lies portrayed right now in "The Fields of the Wood", near Murphy, North Carolina.  Its building cost approximately a million and a half dollars and was directed by him.  The complete 'Honor Stone Program and The Seven Principles of Christ' originated from his revelation of the first three chapters of Revelation.  The 'World's Largest Fleet of non-government, non-commercial airplanes' originated from his belief in the 6th verse of the 14th chapter of Revelation as well as other Scriptures.

Space will not permit me to tell all, but I will use some of the prophecies which I firmly believe refers to Bishop Kent.  Now read Jeremiah 23:18-20, "For WHO hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his word?  Who hath MARKED HIS WORD, and heard it?  Behold  A WHIRLWIND of the Lord is gone forth in fury, even a grievous WHIRLWIND; It shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.  The anger of the Lord shall not return, until HE hath performed the thoughts of his heart:  IN THE LATTER DAYS ye shall consider it perfectly."  NOTE: It might be significant to know that Brother Kent was referred to as the 'Whirlwind Evangelist' in the early part of his ministry.

Another prophecy and one which holds a secret which will be revealed by Brother Kent, at some appointed time, is in regard to the Jews.  This is found in Isaiah 46:11, Read: "Calling a ravenous bird (descriptive term of one who flies and has a greedy appetite for the Word of God) from the east, THE MAN that executeth my counsel from a far country; Yet I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it."

Another Scripture corresponding to this one is found in Isaiah 41:2, Now read: "Who raised up the RIGHTEOUS MAN from THE EAST, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over Kings...?  There are three special points to be considered here.  Number One is that HE was raised up.  Secondly, he was called and given a commission. Third, his ministry was to the Nations (compare Revelation 10:11) and at the end be made ruler over Kings.  This latter part will be during the Millennium.

Space will not permit me to use all the prophecies relating to this man, but in conclusion, let me say that to me the very coarseness of John the Baptist, the zeal and  initiative of the Apostle Peter, uncompromising faith and boldness of Paul, revelation of the beloved John, and simplicity of Christ, are all melted together and portrayed in the lowly stature of the Flying Bishop of America, Grady R. Kent.
