Special Coming Events
"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. (v2) And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting (Acts 2:1-2)."
Pentecost was a great event in the Early Church and noteworthy to be considered in our day; however, it has been the most neglected of any celebrations of its kind. The majority of what is known as Pentecost people have substituted the Holy Ghost to take the place of the real Pentecost. This is another great error like many others that Christians have been traditioned into; yet, there are 144,000 to come out of the tradition of men in the change of time that was brought about by the universal church and a re-establishing of the true activities of the Bible. Since 1906, we, The Church of God, have substituted a General Assembly but have failed to recognize it as a Feast of Pentecost.
Since 1957, The Church has been in its great reformation and has re-established the Church upon its foundation of Apostles and Prophets with its' living Apostles today, with the framework exactly as Jesus set it up on earth, then we have searched out the many practices of the Early Church and re-established them such as: the hour of prayer, the birthday of the church, that the church did not start at Pentecost, but Jesus set it in order upon a mountain early in the morning of October 23, A.D. 32; bread breaking has also been established according to the Scriptures; the true Lord's Supper and Feet Washing rather than communion and feet washing. I hold in my possession a record that gives the date when all these practices were done away with and changed by the universal church after A.D. 325. To bring about a perfect church it is necessary to put the church back on the true track as it was before Babylon changed it.
Now we are faced with the day of Pentecost. We have always recognized that the Early Church was conducting the first Assembly for seven days and on the seventh day that is when the day of Pentecost was fully come; that was a memorial day of the falling of the Holy Ghost on up to the death of the last Apostles and called it the Feast of Pentecost. Paul stated in Acts 20:16, "For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia for he hasted, if it were possible for him to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost." Here Paul expressed the necessity of him and I believe all the other brethren of importance to attend the Feast of Pentecost. In fact, in the Scripture, there was always two loaves of bread, for this feast was of the first harvest; so we are that second loaf.
