Jude said in the third verse of his epistle, "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, an exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints."  We feel that, in the latter part of the first century, the Early Church began to drift to a weakness in faith and that Jude made it clear to them that there could, and should, be a return to the faith.  This, I believe, was more than faith to be healed, more than faith to be saved, and more than faith to work miracles.  I believe this to be a unity of a church, a body of people, supporting the entire doctrine of the Apostles and Elders.  Another Scripture that supports my belief is found in Ephesians 4:11-13, "And he gave some, apostles, and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ."  We have come upon this beautiful order of the ministry and have restored the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers in accordance with the gift program--that is, by individuals receiving gifts.  It is again that we can come together in unity and reach the measure of this faith that was once operated by the Early Church in the support of unity of doctrine, for the Scriptures have said that the Early saints were steadfast in the Apostles' doctrine.

The beloved Luke, whose words we consider as being the words of God, in the Acts of the Apostles, clearly points out that the heavens would retain (hold) Jesus at the Father's right hand until all things be restored in these last days as they were in the Church in the First Century.  Let us quote Acts 3:20-21, "And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heavens must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began."  With these Scriptures that I have already quoted, we, The Church of the last days, have the right to claim and possess, in action, the order of the New Testament Church.

In the first chapter of St. John, the Beloved John, a man who had the revelation that began before the beginning of the world and who understood God's words as they reached to the other end of time, to a new heaven and a new earth, following the Millennium, made no mistake when he pointed out that the Word of God was God and that in God was life (which life was the Word in action).  Then he declared that the Word in action was the Light of men that shineth in darkness.  So, with the New Testament form of government and discipline, with all the Bible offices and perfect ministries and gifts, with a body of people in perfect action in all things of the Word of God, not merely with a faith for deliverance, but with a faith of doctrine, operating and acting, being washed in the water by the Word, we are bound to turn a light on this earth so the world will be able to see Christ in this world, functioning in the flesh in his other body as it is pointed out by the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 1:22-23, "And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church.  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all."  Let us strive for the unity of the faith that we become so close together in our firm stand that the enemy cannot even find a slack place where he may enter in between us to divide us.  This goal can be obtained now since we have the Twelve anointed Apostles and the other apostles who make up the apostleship; since we have the prophets and Seventy, making up the pattern; sine we have teaching, which is the third thing the Lord appointed; since we have evangelists and pastors; since the gifts mentioned in the 12th chapter of I Corinthians are now operating; and since we are using all of the New Testament offices, including the seven principal men who bear the light of the seven eyes and seven horns of the Lamb.

There is nothing under the sun that can stop or destroy this unity, for God has destined that there be a Church not having a spot or blemish or any such thing at the arrival of His second coming.  Now, let us all work together for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.  Then, we have the decision of the Chief Bishop James in the 15th chapter of Acts of the Apostles, when he quoted Amos the 9th chapter saying that the Church of God (tabernacle of God) would again be rebuilt in these last days by Gentiles, with all things being restored as in the days of old, and that this Gentile Church would come to the knowledge of the things spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.  Having this confidence, I do not stagger, nor do I waiver in any way or drop my head in wonderment.  I believe you are with me to believe and work to this end that we may have a glorious Church revealing Christ to the world in true, divine principles of all that is manifested in the New Testament.  Let us reach forth for the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ in a perfect man, which  means for 144,000 to reach that measure.
