Do you know and can you explain the reason that you observe certain things under the name of religion?

Can you find the answer in the bible or do you settle with the crowd thinking that it must be right if all believe it to be true?

Jesus was telling his disciples in Matt 15:1-6…why with your traditions you make the word of God of none effect? Titus 1:13-14..not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

Let’s look at Traditions:

Traditions- G3862-Greek Lexicon- transmission, precept, specifically the Jewish law, ordinance.

2 Tim 2:15- Study to show yourself approved of God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Now let’s take a look at Study:

Study- G4704 Greek Lexicon- to use speed, make effort, be prompt or earnest, diligent, labor…

John 5:39.. Search the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life and they are they which testify of me…(Jesus)

Now one more word to consider the meaning of:

Are you interested in knowing the facts (Truth) or are you satisfied in believing fables (lies) and following the majority in their traditions?

In 325 AD something happened that still affects the world today. Constantine joined state and church together. This brought pagan customs (traditions) into the church. This was accepted as truth. ( we will elaborate more on this subject later)

In Lev chapter 23, God gave Israel three major feast days. These were types and principles of things to come. Jesus fulfilled these among the Jews. Pagan customs have replaced these three feast dates.

Heb 10:1- law a shadow of good things to come and not the very image.
